child of Hazrat Ali Ibn-e-Abu Talib (A.S.), brother
of Hasan (A.S.), Imam-e-Zaman, Mazloom-e- Nenawa, Shaheed-e-Taigh-e-Jafa,
King of the world and hereafter, Martyr of Karb-o-Bala,
Hazrat Imam Husain (A.S.) is that beacon of light which
angels can not endure and even prophets can not determine
his willpower. His resolve conferred a new life to Islam.
He wrote the word of Allah with his blood on the desert
of Karbala with such dignity that neither a Pharaoh
nor a Yazid can dare to erase it till the Day of Judgment.
This is the same determination which is the legacy
of the true believer. Hussaini movement is to express
this resolve without any fear and danger. This motion
was started 1400 years ago in court of Yazid and Fatima
II, Hazrat Zainab-e-Kubra (A.S.) laid its foundation
by holding the first soul nourishing Youm-e-Hussain
(A.S.). Syed-e-Sajjad (A.S.) celebrated it with iron
chains. From the court of Yazid to the prison of Syria
and then to the world, Youm-e- Hussain is and will be
celebrated till the Day of Judgment.
The first Youm-e-Hussain (A.S.) of the Indian subcontinent
was held at Aligarh Muslim University in 1934. After
the birth of Pakistan it was first held at Govt. College,
Rawalpindi in 1965 and now celebrated every year at
Sindh University since 1966. Youm-e-Hussain Organizing
Committee Central Pakistan was founded in 1972 at the
city of Karachi to carry on this movement. First Youm-e-Hussain
was held at Govt. City College on 1st March 1974 and
a constituent assembly was formulated. Officials were
elected with 2/3rd majority on 1st April 1974, and the
name of Youm-e-Hussain Organizing Committee Central
Pakistan was registered on 8th April 1974.
The efforts and research of Youm-e-Hussain (A.S) Organizing
Committee Central Pakistan resulted in such a way that
now in every nook and corner of our country, Youm-e-Hussain
and Youm-e-Mustafa is being held. It is celebrated in
almost all Educational, Financial, Government and Non
Government Institutions.
Youm-e-Hussain (A.S) Organizing Committee Central
Pakistan units are active for this movement.
